WTF happened, did it flip, or did someone purposely smash it with a club?
Anyway, here's my Dad's '74 to balance out the sadness. 5,000 miles, one respray in the early '90s, otherwise original. (including some of the freaking headlights !)

Driver was drunk... Sped, drove off the road, flipped it 3 times or so. I didn't even post a shot of the interior out of respect to the truck.
Your dad's Hilux is amazing... Will he sell it to me?
